quant Money Managers Limited "QMML" (AMC) was incorporated on December 12, 1995, and was approved to act as an Asset Management Company for the quant Mutual Fund by SEBI vide its letter dated October 30, 2017. quant Group was born more than a decade ago, as a financial services platform in the midst of the 2008 Global Financial Crisis. (This is from their website, so yes we also don't know how the AMC was set up before the group. We will update when we investigate).
