A B.A with Honours in Economics from St Stephens College, University of Delhi and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, Ajay joined the Aditya Birla Group in 2007 and in his role as the leader of the business at Aditya Birla Capital, he has successfully led and transformed the organization into a Universal Financial Solutions provider focusing on the Protecting, Investing and Financing needs of the company’s customers.

Aditya Birla Real Estate Debt Fund was started in 2010 with an investment amount of Rs 1,050 crore, was launched as a six-year closed-end fund. It invested in 13 properties. But with the real estate market going into a tailspin, it was unable to exit all its investments. After two extensions of a year each, one of the shareholders of Aditya Birla Sun Life Asset Management Company (ABSL AMC) will buy the fund’s units to pay off investors.
