Amplus Capital Advisors Private Limited company which is incorporated on 08 December 2011. It is classified as non-govt company and is registered at Registrar of Companies. It is promoted by a group of Entrepreneurs and Professionals with comprehensive experience in creating and sustaining Lalbhai Group (flagship company Arvind Limited having market cap ~ $1.4 billion) and a leading tax and financial advisory – Chartered Accountancy firm in India, GK Choksi & Company.
Amplus aims to generate superior returns for its investors by bringing the wisdom of private equity and fund management to real estate investment. It aims to remove compromises in system, facilitate value driven performance and unlock the real value of real estate for all stakeholders.
Anuranjan Mohnot, Managing Director – He is responsible for all aspects of the business and has been instrumental to successful raising and deployment of Amplus Realty Fund – I. He has experience in various cross functional areas working with some of the leading business conglomerates in India. In his previous assignment he was the Vice President-Investments with Motilal Oswal Private Equity Advisors Pvt Ltd. managing an INR 200 crore domestic SEBI registered Real Estate Fund. He was part of the core team that setup the Real Estate Fund business for the group and was responsible for sourcing, investing, structuring and exiting the investments.
Prior to this, he worked with Future Group’s $450 million India focused Real Estate Fund – The Kshitij & Horizon Fund (Now being managed by Everstone Capital). He is Graduate in Commerce, an LLB, a Chartered Accountant and a Company Secretary by qualification.
Nilesh Shah – Nilesh Shah is the Managing Director (MD) of Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Co. Ltd. and is acting as an Independent director of Arvind Limited. Mr. Shah is the investment committee member of Amplus Realty Fund- I & II. Mr. Shah has over 25 years of experience in capital markets and market related investments, having managed funds across equity, fixed income securities and real estate for local and global investors. In his previous assignments, Mr. Shah has held leadership roles with Axis Capital, ICICI Prudential Asset Management, Franklin Templeton and ICICI securities. Mr. Shah is the recipient of the inaugural Business Standard Fund Manager of the year award – Debt in 2004.
Jagdish Dalal – Dalal is a Director of Amplus Capital Advisors Pvt Ltd. He is a Graduate in Commerce and a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Mr. Dalal has a distinguished academic career and has extensive administrative, financial, regulatory and managerial expertise with his vast experience in the field. He also holds directorship in many other Lalbhai Group Companies. He is deeply involved in structuring/strategizing of all major real estate projects / deals / transactions of the Lalbhai Group. He is also actively involved in merger, acquisition, expansion, diversification, project funding and GDR Issue of the Company. As being a dynamic professional, he has always been exploring new managerial skills, administrative strategies, commercial / legal negotiation skills, business opportunities etc.
The Fund aims at making investments only in the core focus areas and will be guided by the investment processes and proper investment philosophy coupled with its experienced real estate team with significant experience in real estate investment, deal structuring, taxation, legal documentation and asset liquidation.
