Trust Asset Management was established in October 2019, and it is owned by Trust Investment Advisors Private Limited, a company which is part of the TRUST Group.

Trust Investment Advisors Private Limited (“TIAPL”) has been one of the top 5 corporate bond arrangers, alongside the other leading banks such as Axis, HDFC, SBI etc. over the last five years. Trust Mutual Fund is the Group’s first foray into the retail segment. 

TRUST AMC currently offers five fixed-income products. TRUST AMC has allied with CRISIL as a strategic knowledge partner. CRISIL helps in critically evaluating the investment universe and assists in constructing a model portfolio after due filtration process.

The total assets under management as on March 31, 2023 are INR 1,134 crores (~ $138 million @82 INR per USD).

Key staff

Sandeep Bagla, CEO – He has more than 25 years of experience in financial markets, leading investment teams in mutual funds like Reliance, AIG & Principal MFs, and managing fixed income portfolios for primary dealers like ICICI Securities PD & ABN Securities PD and financial institutions like ICICI Ltd. He has been with the TRUST Group for the last 6 years heading verticals like Debt PMS, Foreign Institutional relationships and New Initiatives. He is a graduate in Economics from Presidency College, Kolkata and holds a post graduate Diploma in management from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar.

Ajaykumar Gupta, Chief Business Officer – He brings around three decades of experience in the financial services domain. Before joining Trust AMC, he was with Axis AMC, which he joined at a very nascent stage and was instrumental in running their Institutional Business. Prior to that, he worked with Kotak Mahindra Group for two decades, of which the first seven years were with their Car finance business and the balance 13 years with Kotak AMC, where he was responsible for retail and institutional business. His last stint was as the National Sales Head – Institutional. Ajay has completed his Bachelor of Engineering from Pune University and lives with his family in Mumbai.

The core of the firm’s investment philosophy is to deliver consistent risk adjusted returns with an aim to provide research driven, validated and back-tested investment options that are designed to meet investment needs across all stages of life. The investment process has stringent internal risk management parameters in order to mitigate portfolio risk within specified levels and run a diversified portfolio to deliver consistent risk adjusted returns to their investors.

They recently concluded a second NFO – that of the TRUST MF Liquid Fund was also highly successful and the combined AuM of both these funds has enabled TRUST Mutual Fund to cross the Rs. 1,000 Crore AuM mark as on April 28, 2021. 

TRUST AM announces the launch of TRUSTMF Short Term Fund, Equity Bulls, July 15, 2021

TRUST Asset Management Company announced the launch of its New Fund Offer (NFO) – the TRUST MF Short Term Fund which aims to deliver consistent returns and is ideal for a minimum 6-12 months investment horizon. The NFO was open for subscription from 20th July 2021 to 3rd August 2021 and was managed by Anand Nevatia, Fund Manager, TRUST Mutual Fund. This was the third launch from TRUST Mutual Fund.
