At Baroda Pioneer investment, philosophy hinges on a top-down and a bottom-up approach. The top-down approach is when you identify the key themes and the trends in the economy. The key theme that I believe will play out in the next couple of years would be the investment theme. By this I mean investment in the capital goods sector and the power sector, or maybe the railways. The investment cycle has to kick through and within that segment, we are looking at the entire value chain including manufacturing, construction and services. Those are the key themes that we are really looking at for investments in our funds.
